I like Sam and Julie, but I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as I did the first book in the series. It's rare for me to immediately go buy the next book in a series when I have several hundred books to read in my Kindle. However, that's what I did after I read True Cover. Although this wasn't quite up the first book in my opinion, it's still a good book.

Have truly enjoyed this book as did the first bok in this series.. the author keeps your interest throughout the entire book. Looking forward to reading next in series

A nice follow-up to the first book. The characters continue to develop as the saga continues. Vast changes but good action and good flow.
This was an enjoyable read. It continued the lives of people I met in the first book and started a romance between two lovable characters while solving two mysteries. One mystery had to do with PTSD and the other a "who dun it" - or rather, who wanted to do what evil deed.
This whole series is so good and keeps you guessing. Keep up the good writing! Starting another one of her books just not sure which one!Dr
The first book was the best, but this one is a good story, too. There were a few mistakes in both books, but this one has more. The only thing about the first book I found was I thought the main character would have shown more emotion than she did over the loss of her dog. I know I would. I'm a dog lover and have two. In this book, there is no dog, so she never got another one. I would have thought that after some time had gone by, she would have wanted another, but she has a baby daughter in this one, so that could be why. I enjoyed both books and both stories. The ranch in this one sounds beautiful, and if you're a horse lover, this one has horses, not a dog. I especially liked Jess meeting her cowboy in this one and the way the book ended. Two good reads for escape.
Finally an author that is at least familiar with repentance and grief and godly sorrow and weaves the correct doctrine into her books. I was very pleased.
