A very wealthy Yemen businessman is in a bind his adult son has been arrested in Saudi Arabia for drug trafficking, an offense that could lead to a life sentence.

A Yemeni terrorist has a bold plan that will make 9/11 look like child’s play, killing thousands of Americans tourists in one fell swoop. But he has a problem. The plan costs money. A lot of money. And his financier has just been arrested.

˃˃˃ Can The MP-5 CIA Team Stop The Terrorist Before It’s Too Late?

M.H. Sargent’s MP-5 CIA team wants to know what that plan is, and stop it. So, they have a simple solution blackmail the businessman. The Yemen Connection An MP5 CIA Series Thriller Book 4 edition by MH Sargent Shelley Holloway Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks

Written in a dry way which actually turns out quite effective.
There is nothing extraordinary about the situation of this unit in Yemen, they have a problem which they can hopefully bring to a positive conclusion (which is the way the CIA might put it.)
There is no government assassination as such, although some things must be done. The descriptions of the actions are described in an almost every-day fashion, and of course the gist is that the operatives are trying to find out what the 'idiots' are doing, and do their best to prevent it.
The narrative seems to begin in a humdrum sort of way, but develops into a surprisingly satisfying tale.

The Yemen Connection An MP5 CIA Series Thriller Book 4 edition by MH Sargent Shelley Holloway Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews

Another great read from M.H. Sargent, I have read all his books and have loved them all, This one is no exception. The Yemen Connection along with all his other books keep you reading long after 'lights out' command. -)
Hoping for another one soon I keep checking to make sure I don't miss them, Thanks again M.H. The Yemen Connection (An MP-5 CIA Thriller, Book 4) keep them coming.

I came across the MP-5 series by accident when looking for other books. I had never heard of MH Sargent, but the book looked good so I thought I would try it. I was pleasantly surprised.

The members of the team interested me and the characters have been developed nicely as the series progresses.

As soon as I finished this book I ordered Book 5. I strongly recommend this series to anyone who likes this type of thriller as the team continues to hunt the bad guys.
I just finished reading The Yemen Connection by M.H. Sargent. Having read all of his other books, and being familiar with the characters, I was so excited to read his newest book. I was not dissappointed. Peterson, Gonz, Heisman, and McKay are all back. The story was very well written. This book was not as suspenseful as his other books, but the concept and story kept me turning the pages...quickly!
The story was also really believable, which, like his other books, puts us in the Middle East, where events like what he writes about, could actually happen.
I hope Sargent keeps writing books with these characters. I have grown to really like Heisman myself.
I can't wait to see what location and situation the crew will haved to find a way out of next.
Thanks Sargent. Keep on writing!!
I've also read the other three MP5 team books and rated all with five stars even though I rarely rate a book more than four or write a review.

The stories delivered a vicarious thrill of action faced by a field team dealing with local assets and superiors thousands of miles from the events. Though some war zone security tradecraft seemed stretched, the writing delivered the action convincingly.

The four diverse personalities and skill sets the author weaves into the MP5 team's characters and their operational contributions kept me avidly reading and then anticipating their next adventure.
The plot kept you in suspense and it was nice to see the Gonz, Heisman, Mckay, and Peterson are together again. Nice touch by the author to mention Muttly, the stray dog the CIA team adopted in the last book.

Again, it was great to see locals who are not portrayed as hating Americans. And again, I would like more character development of the bad guys. M.H. Sargent did give us some background on the American Jihadist.

I look forward to his next book.
I was pretty stoked to find out M.H. Sargent had another book out with my favorite CIA team. The chemistry he has created with these four characters, along with some good action, suspense and lighted hearted comedy, always makes for a very good read. Just picturing the characters Gonz and Heisman in their black cassocks with their starched white collars is pretty funny to me. I could feel the discomfort with the costumes every time they removed them. That's just how well written this book is. You can feel and sense what the characters are going through at every turn. I always enjoy M.H. Sargent's books and I look forward to reading more from these characters or even new ones he may venture on to.
Having read all of M. H. Sargent's books, I must have expected more in this one. The characters seemed one dimensional; cardboard cut outs with predictable moves. Perhaps I'd forgotten what they were like in the earlier books. I couldn't recall their histories or personalities; something to relate them to. So in this book, I still don't have any backgroundings other than Heisman, whose Ohio State football connection was overworked with almost every mention of him. As for the others, Gonz, McKay, Peterson What's their history? Struggling to the half way mark on my , I found myself saying outloud "Come on! Let's move this story. Give me something more than a cast of characters making cameo appearances." The idea of biological attack isn't far fetched. In fact it's frightening to read about this possibility because the terrorist lunatics could well move to that next weapon. And because of this very real possibility, there might have been more depth to the characters and the story itself.
Written in a dry way which actually turns out quite effective.
There is nothing extraordinary about the situation of this unit in Yemen, they have a problem which they can hopefully bring to a positive conclusion (which is the way the CIA might put it.)
