You can't go wrong with a premise like that!! I love the story line and the many interesting twists to their relationship! I absolutely fell in love with Ella...she just stole my heart!!! I found the main characters, Lucas and Jane, intriguing how their lonely and troubled backgrounds brought them closer together after disliking one another from start. I also really liked the colorful cast of supporting characters.

Me TarzanYou Jane eBook Camelia Miron Skiba Reviews

Set in the world of limelight and celebrities, where steamy scenes and erotic concupiscence are the words of the genre, Camelia Skiba's Me Tarzan--you Jane, gives us a modish love story wrapped in a sweet bundle of charm and desire.
The main story revolves around Jane a makeup artist and Lucas a successful model. With their first meeting in a literary convention, Jane and Lucas starts off on a bad note. While Jane thinks Lucas to be a snotty playboy, Lucas dubs Jane as an uptight and boring person. This, misunderstanding is gradually diminished when Jane is forced to go to France to work for Madame V, and they spend quality time together in her guesthouse. This leads to an amicable relationship which gradually builds into something more after their return to the states. Through the passing away of Lucas' mother, the lawsuit episode, their relationship goes through some trials and tribulations and, ultimately with luck and a little courage everything ends on a happy note.
The most charming aspect of this book is Ella, Jane's 4 year old daughter, whose endearing innocence captivates everyone who comes to know her, from readers to her Biebie to Lucas, she brightens up the whole plot of the story and steals the limelight from her first appearance. It is also Ella who plays a vital role in bringing the couple together.
Coming to character development, Jane is portrayed as a young mother, burdened with the responsibilities of single parenthood and trying her level best to give her daughter a perfect life. Though she is a makeup artist by profession, her secret desire has always been to become an author. Even after winning a writing contest she is hesitant to step into publishing industry. It is only through Lucas' encouragement and valuable insight that she finds the courage to fulfill her dreams. Jane's character contains very genuine traits which paints her in realistic colors to the readers. Staring from her economic struggles to her fiercely protective love for her daughter- a result of losing someone close. Also, her undecided hesitancy towards her relationship with Lucas reveals a very emotional struggle of a single parent, uneasy to take the leap, fearing for the future of their children, afraid of trusting and losing someone again.
On the other hand, Lucas, is portrayed through Jane's eyes first as a rich indulging person but, this perception gradually changes with time as we come to realize a very different aspect of Lucas' character, which he keeps hidden from the limelight. In the presence of Jane he slowly unravels his tough exterior to reveal a broken and grieving person inside, and through Jane's empathy and acceptance he begins to heal from those emotional wounds.
The story continues with a single plot but it is scattered lively in varied settings starting from book conventions to France and back to US, introducing new characters as we go. The author has given us little insights into the world of book publishing and the modeling industry in this book.
Still, the part of lawsuit feels a little stretched where Lucas' lie does not seem as a necessary requisite to the plot. Also, the cover of the book does not do it justice.
Apart from that, this book provides a refreshingly new mode of story telling where, instead of steamy scenes, subtle passion and raunchy banter drives the plot.
Overall, it is a sweet and loving tale of second chances and, a darling little angel awaiting to steal your heart.

This story may be set amongst the world of cover models and all the perceived superficiality they carry but readers quickly see another side to these men. Fun and flirty soon becomes heartfelt and emotionally intense in this romance that deals with love and loss. It's a tale full of sexual tension and witty banter that immersed me from the first page to the last.

Lucas is a world-class cover model who exudes arrogance when you first meet him. At least that's how the widowed Jane sees him until they're forced into close quarters that bring out a different side to him. Behind his sexy packaging is a man in pain, dealing with a dying mother and an addicted brother. Despite all the pain he's carrying he goes out of his way to bring joy and happiness to Jane and her daughter Ella. He's drawn to Jane as she's different than other women he's known and she sees the real him behind the sexy body. He's equally drawn to what she and her daughter represent as they're the family he desperately wants but doesn't think he deserves. As he struggles with where he fits in their lives I found myself aching for him and was endeared by how obvious he is in wanting to be in their lives forever. Lucas is a delicious hero whose snark had me chuckling and which added fuel to the fiery verbal tug of war between him and Jane. His interactions with Ella charmed me and made my uterus hurt for all the love and attention he unconsciously lavished on her. The evolution from his and Jane going from friends to lovers was a sweet and sexy transition and had me fully invested in their emotional journey to HEA.

Jane's still reeling from the death of her husband, stuck in a rut devoted only to her daughter and her burgeoning writing career. She's hiding though, scared to leave the memory of her dead husband behind. It has her resorting to antagonistic banter towards Lucas early on and using her daughter as a buffer later on to keep him at arm's length. Ultimately it's his pain that calls to her and has her wanting to heal him. Being with him pulls her out of her self-imposed mourning, reminding her of her sexuality, and the joys of caring and being cared for. Jane's a strong-willed heroine who frustrated me as she kept Lucas at arm's length far too long, treating him like a dirty little secret as their relationship heated up. Ultimately though she stepped up to the plate and supported him when he needed her most.

On a whole this was a charming story full of delightful banter and a delicious hero who has style and substance. Issues of grief are heartbreakingly portrayed to make these characters even more relatable and more worthy of HEA. I don't normally care for children in romances but Ella was a sweetheart who brought out a playful side to Lucas that made him an even more quintessential hero. My only quibble concerns Lucas's jealous ex and her vile machinations late in the story that felt emotionally manipulative. Her actions felt overly melodramatic, came out of left field, and went on far too long. It cast a shadow over both Lucas and Jane's personalities bringing out the worst in them and ruining the happy bubble their romance put me in until that point. Despite my issues I still enjoyed this romance and its compelling characters and hope to revisit this world as there are other sexy models who I'd love to drool over some more.
Many parts of the story struck home. Very down to earth about emotional issues.
Me Tarzan--You Jane is a wonderful romance written by author Camelia Miron Skiba with great characters and an emotional storyline.
